by Jim Yunker, Safety/Regulatory Compliance Manager The safety culture of Gallagher Corporation took root years ago when the company was founded. Over all those years we have lived by our motto "Safety and Quality Before All Else." We feel we have the safest manufacturing operation anywhere, particularly when it comes to chemical handling in our cast polyurethane facility. For over 10 years we have participated in OSHA's Safety and Health Recognition Program (SHARP). Periodically inspectors from the State of Illinois have reviewed our operations to OSHA standards. Over the years only minor modifications have been necessary to maintain total compliance to OSHA standards. Safety is critically important for our employees well being. It means a lot to them to know that they are our highest concern and our most valuable asset. Our employees' high morale leads to high productivity which is important to our customers. From an environmental standpoint, our customers should also know that we go beyond compliance and consider reduction of emissions to be one of our top goals. Over the years we have made steady progress in reducing emissions from our process. Jim Yunker
